Fellowship Church Southwest

FAQ

What do you offer for my kids?
We have three different types of ministries for your kids depending on their age.  We have Preschool (Birth-Pre-K) and Children’s (K-5th grade) at both 9:30 and 11 am, and Student Ministry (6th-12th grade) only at 9:30 am.  All of the teaching, music and activities are age appropriate, engaging and fun.

What kind of security measures are in place in for the kids?
At Fellowship Church Southwest your child’s safety is our number one concern.  All of our volunteers are trained, screened, and undergo a background check.  When you check in at our computerized kiosk you and your child will receive unique matching security numbers used for picking up your child.

What are your adult services like?
Our Sunday morning adult worship service is designed to engage you at every level.  We have upbeat music, thought-provoking multimedia and God’s Word is taught in a way that you can understand and apply to your everyday life.

How should I dress?
Come just as you are.  Some will dress in Khaki’s and dress shirt, or jeans, shorts and a t-shirt. No need for a suit and tie.  We care about you, not how you are dressed.

Why don’t you have a building?  Do you plan to always meet in a school?
In the Spring of 2008 we purchased 22 acres of land in Northern Hays County on FM967.  We currently have our offices on the property and desire to build a permanent facility as soon as God allows!

What types of community outreach do you do?
Our passion is to build relational bridges into the family, community and world and the best way we do that is through our personal influence.  Our commitment is to equip you to live an irresistible and influential life right where you are.  We are also involved with Meals on Wheels, Capital Area Food Bank and other local agencies.  All that said, if you’d like a list of what we do inside and outside the church walls click on the “Serving and Outreach” link at the top of this page.

What kind of church is this?  Are you affiliated with any denomination?
FCSW is a non-denominational Bible believing church that is conservative in doctrine but desires to meet our culture on its own turf.

Who oversees the finances of the church?
The Operations Team which consists of 2-3 elders and 3-4 lay members in the church.  This team is responsible for the operational accountability of the budget of FC, which also includes personnel.

What is the Leadership Structure of Fellowship Church?
We are Elder governed, staff led.  This means that the Elders provide the spiritual guardrails for the church and have entrusted the pastors and staff to lead the day-to-day operations of the church. We believe this structure empowers ministries, provides accountability, and is God honoring.
