The Souper Bowl of Caring was born from a single prayer:  “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat.”.  The Rev. Brad Smith spoke these words as a seminary intern serving in South Carolina in 1990, and a movement was born. WHAT DO I DO On Sunday, February 7 (Super Bowl Sunday!!!!) we will have collection spots set up at the Missional Living Table in the foyer, and in Discoveryland, Adventureland, and Student Impact ministry areas.  Bring your unopened non-perishable foods (undented cans, pasta, etc) to one of those areas and drop it off.  That’s it.  It couldn’t be easier! If you’d rather make a cash donation we will have an online Fund Drive setup the week of February 1 – 7 where you can donate.  For every $5 donated the Food Bank can provide $20 worth of food to hungry families.  Please join us in partnering with the Food Bank in their efforts to fight hunger in Central Texas.  If we all pitch in GREAT things can happen!
