Thanksgiving Day is one of the most neglected times for the elderly in assisted living and nursing homes.  In order to be a bridge into our community, members of Fellowship Church are invited to give up 2 hours of their Thanksgiving Day morning to serve some of the elderly here in the South Austin area.  This is an excellent opportunity for families with small children, teens, and individuals alike to be the hands and feet of Christ.  Friendship, entertainment, and bingo will be offered to the residents of Carestone.  Before leaving, we’ll provide desserts for the residents to eat after their lunch (including some desserts that will be sugar free).  This Thanksgiving Day, as we give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the blessing of family and friends in our lives, let’s remember those who are less fortunate and consider making a small sacrifice of our time and talents for others.  If you are unable to attend, please consider making a dessert to send for the residents.
