India Mission Trip- Spring Break 2012
Over Spring Break (March 8-18, 2012) a team will be leaving Austin and traveling to Siliguri, India for a mission trip to support the work of our own home-grown missionaries, Jeff & Trish Ward, and the work they are doing with Church Based Leadership Training - INDIA. While in the rural tea villages of Kalchini and Malbazaare, the team will be gathering demographic information that will aid Jeff in the training and mobilization of local pastors and evangelists to spread the message of Christ. Here are some ways that the church can pray and help our team prepare for the trip:
Prayer Needs: We’re praying for God to prepare each team member’s heart and mind for the rigors of mission work.
We’re praying for God to start preparing our hearts (and those of the local pastors and evangelists) for the divine appointments He has set for us.
We’re praying for Jeff and Trish Ward as well as the local pastors and evangelists, that they will be able to accomplish all of the logistical work that needs to be done prior to our arrival in India.
Practical Needs: For each team member’s trip to be fully funded by the end of February.
We need 8 personal GPS units (the kind used for hunting & hiking) to use during our survey work so Jeff has an accurate location of villages, etc.
