AdventureLand meets at 9:15am & 11:00 every Sunday unless otherwise noted.
Each month from September - May we also offer FLIPT! which is a great event for parents and children to attend together! Instead of parents taking kids to a service geared toward adults, kids bring their parents to a service geared towards the family. Flipt focuses on teaching virtues in a creative, fun, upbeat setting with short skits that are relevant to everyday life!
AdventureLand exists to guide each child in discovering God’s love for them and growing them in their relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. It’s a dynamic ministry of learning, growing, and worshipping for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
There are 3 Basic Truths that we teach and desire for children to embrace. They are taken from Jesus’ model in Luke 2:52:
- I need to make the WISE choice
- I can TRUST God no matter what
- I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated
These 3 basic truths will be amplified through the teaching of a monthly core virtue.
We truly desire for your child to begin to love and know God, accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, and learn what it means to live their lives honoring and glorifying God with all that they do. In order to teach and model this we will divide our time around specific segments each week: Activity Centers, The Big “Y” which is our Children’s Worship Time, Plug In, Large Group Teaching, and Small Group Time.
Our small group environment is the focus of our program. We try to keep our groups at 8-10 children to one leader. All the children in a group are the same age and same gender. This is the key time where intentional shepherding occurs, and it is designed to build community. Our small group shepherd leaders guide the application of the lesson as well as personally minister to the kids.
All of our leaders fill out applications, we run background checks on all volunteers that work with children, all leaders are trained, and sign our Child Protection Covenant. Your child’s safety is paramount to us!
